22 Student-Athetes Earn DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards

Elizabeth City, NC - Elizabeth City State University Athletics is proud to recognize 41 Viking student-athletes who have been named recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award. The annual honor recognizes NCAA Division II student-athletes who demonstrate a high level of academic success while competing in intercollegiate athletics.

To qualify for the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5, completed a minimum of two years of college-level coursework, and remained an active member of an intercollegiate athletics team during their final academic year. Among ECSU's honorees, 15 student-athletes representing six Viking athletic programs achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The following ECSU student-athletes were recognized as 2025-26 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipients:

The recognition highlights the commitment ECSU student-athletes continue to demonstrate both academically and athletically. Managing coursework alongside practices, competition, team travel and other responsibilities requires discipline, preparation and consistency. The accomplishments of these Vikings reflect their dedication to succeeding in every aspect of the student-athlete experience.

Their academic achievements also represent the collaborative support provided throughout the ECSU community. Coaches, faculty members, academic support staff, teammates, families and friends all play important roles in helping Viking student-athletes pursue excellence in the classroom and in competition.
