ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Men's Basketball fell to Virginia State University 75-59 on Saturday.
The Vikings drop to 12-14 overall on the season, 4-10 in the CIAA.
Junior forward
Shykeef Daniels (Greenville, NC) led the Vikings offensively with 15 points.

Joseph Allen (Miami Gardens, FL) followed up with 11 points each for the Vikings.

Joseph Allen (Miami Gardens, FL) led the vikings rebounding efforts with 11 boards to complete a double-double on the night.
The Trojans were led by Armond Griebe with 20 points, while Francis Fitzgerald led their rebounding efforts with eight boards.
ECSU shot 42.1 percent from the field, 20 percent from behind the arc, and 57.1 percent at the line.
VSU shot 51.8 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from behind the arc, and 60 percent at the line.
The Vikings came out with high energy setting the tempo for the game with an early 6-0 run; highlighted by baskets from ECSU bigs Allen and Byers.
Midway through the opening half the Vikings had endured three ties and a series of lead changes before opening up a 10-1 run to gain a 28-19 lead at the 7:40 mark.
The Trojans answered back with a 17-4 run to end the half and take a 36-32 lead.
Both teams shot the ball well exchanging basket for basket to start the second half of action keeping it a two-possession game.
The Trojans controlled the boards out rebounding the Vikings 40-27 and out scored ECSU 39-27 to claim the 75-59 win.
The Vikings will be back in action on Wednesday Night in the R.L. Vaughan Center to take on the Falcons of Saint Augustine's University at 7:30 p.m.
