Elizabeth City State University Athletics

Serenity Lunnermon joins the Elizabeth City State University volleyball staff as a Volunteer Assistant Coach following the conclusion of her playing career with the Vikings.

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Lunnermon competed for ECSU during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, primarily serving as a setter. She appeared in 15 matches for the Vikings as a junior in 2024 before stepping into a bigger role as the starting setter during her senior season in 2025. During her time on the court, Lunnermon contributed as a facilitator and defender, including several strong performances in which she led the Vikings in assists. She is also pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. 

Now transitioning from student-athlete to coach, Lunnermon brings firsthand knowledge of the ECSU volleyball program to the coaching staff. In her role as a Volunteer Assistant Coach, she will assist with the development of Viking student-athletes while providing a valuable perspective shaped by her recent collegiate playing experience.
