Coach LaQuaid Manago joined Elizabeth City State University in 2024 as the Vikings’ Offensive Line Coach, bringing over a decade of experience across the NCAA Division I and II levels. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Manago was a four-year defensive back at Greensboro College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science before pursuing graduate studies in Adult Education at North Carolina A&T State University.

His coaching career began at Greensboro College in 2012, followed by stops at North Carolina A&T, Southern University, Shaw University, and Norfolk State. Along the way, he mentored multiple All-Conference selections, contributed to a MEAC Championship with NC A&T in 2014, and helped guide Shaw to its best season in nearly a decade. At Norfolk State, he worked with both the offensive line and tight ends while also overseeing video operations, highlighted by a 1,456-yard rushing season in 2022. In the summer of that year, he expanded his experience at the professional level through the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Washington Commanders.

At ECSU, Manago leads the development of the Vikings’ offensive line with a focus on discipline, toughness, and technical precision. Known for his versatility and passion for player growth, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the program and is committed to building a strong foundation for success in the CIAA.
