LINCOLN, Pa. – Elizabeth City State dropped a 68–47 decision to Lincoln (Pa.) on Wednesday night in CIAA men's basketball action at Manuel Rivero Hall.
The Vikings stayed competitive early, trailing just 29–23 at halftime, but Lincoln pulled away in the second half behind efficient shooting and strong bench production.
Jaquantae Harris led Elizabeth City State with a game-high 18 points, shooting 8-of-16 from the field while adding two steals in 34 minutes. Trevor Smith followed with nine points, three assists, and two steals, while C.J. McCord contributed five points and five rebounds.
ECSU struggled to find offensive rhythm after the break, shooting 35.7 percent in the second half and finishing the game at 33.3 percent overall. Lincoln capitalized by shooting 50 percent in the second half and knocking down six three-pointers to create separation.
Lincoln's bench proved to be the difference, outscoring the Vikings' reserves 34–11, while also holding a 43–30 rebounding advantage. Elizabeth City State forced 12 turnovers and recorded 10 steals, but was unable to convert consistently on the offensive end.
Elizabeth City State falls to 2–13 overall and 1–8 in CIAA play, while Lincoln improves to 9–11 overall and 4–4 in conference action.
