PETERSBURG, VA. – The Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings suffered a pair of CIAA Northern Division defeats against Virginia State on the road on Tuesday afternoon.

Karma Fields and Emma Fleming led the Lady Vikings with three hits each.  Fleming posted a two RBI single in the nightcap as Fields went 3-3 in the nightcap.

Courtney Hoggard added two hits with a RBI, while Ema Cebrian and Courtney Ward picked up one hit each.

Virginia State posted 17 hits in game one while holding ECSU to five hits.  The Vikings could not overcome five fielding miscues in the nightcap.

Elizabeth City State returns home to wrap up the regular season with a series against Bowie State on Friday, April 25 and Lincoln on Saturday, April 26.  The Lady Vikings will host senior day for Karrigan Belangia, Karma Fields, and Reagan Seelye on Friday.
