ECSU Softball Swept By Bowie State

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings slipped to Bowie State in CIAA Northern Division action on Friday afternoon in a league doubleheader.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES

Allison Perry led the offense with four hits picking up a pair in each contest.  Karma Fields added two hits and three walks to go with a RBI.

Eboni Bailey and Ema Cebrian collected two hits each, with Bailey notching a double and a RBI.

Emma Fleming, Sophia Simmons, Courtney Hoggard, Karrigan Belangia, and Jamia Guilford tallied one hit each.

Bowie State took advantage of five Vikings miscues leading to five unearned runs to steal game one.  The Bulldogs used a grandslam in the nightcap to propel through for the sweep.

UP NEXT

Elizabeth City State will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, April 26 with a CIAA Northern Division clash against Lincoln.  First pitch is slated for 1pm.  Senior day festivities will occur in between contests for Karrigan Belangia, Karma Fields, and Reagan Seelye.
