PETERSBURG, VA | The ECSU Men's Cross-Country team competed in the Virginia State Challenge on Friday afternoon, running against VSU, VUU, Regent University, Chowan, and Barton. Gavin Jessup had a top-ten finish placing ninth with a time of 30:36.18 for the men.

Cameron Putman followed Jessup, coming in 11th place with a time of  31:15.14. Riley Lenz followed, coming in 17th place with a time of 34:14.28. William Battle came right behind in 18th place with a time of 34:14.59. Josiah Morgan came in 24th place with a time of 48:37.22.
