The Elizabeth City State women's basketball team (5-4, 0-2 CIAA) fell at home to Claflin (3-5, 1-3 CIAA) 78-51, on Saturday Afternoon, in the R.L. Vaughan Center.
The Vikings would start off the contest sluggish. The Vikings would find life after putting themselves in a 13-point deficit and would claw back to make the deficit to 7 points. Going into the half Claflin would lead by 17 points, 42-25. Coming out of halftime the Lady Vikings committed a few costly turnovers. Alanis Hill, who dropped 15 points, and also added two blocks and a rebound.

The Lady Vikings return to action on Monday at the R.L. Vaughan Center as they take on the Falcons of Saint Augustine's. Tip-off is at 5:30 PM.
