BOWIE, MD- The Elizabeth City State Vikings football team (2-7, 1-6 CIAA) would travel to Bulldogs Stadium to face the Bowie State Bulldogs (5-4, 4-3 CIAA). The Vikings would fall to the Bulldogs, 7-19. 

Quinzel Lockhart would have a game-high 85 receiving yards, hauling in another game-high, nine receptions, and the only touchdown for the Vikings. Ian Edwards would add five receptions and 40 receiving yards, as well as 41 punt return yards.

The "Code Blue" defense had two double-digit tacklers in Teonne Porter and Maryland native, Tracey White, both recording 10 total tackles. White would also add a forced fumble.

The Bulldogs would score twice in the air and once on the ground, but would only convert one extra point attempt on the day.

A host of Vikings would record tackles for loss. Na'Sir Douglas would make an interception to start the fourth quarter but the Vikings would end up dropping the contest to the Bulldogs.

The Vikings will return home to Roebuck Stadium for senior day, the final game of the 2023 season. The season finale versus Bluefield State. Kickoff is set for 1 PM. Seniors will be recognized before Kickoff.
