ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Senior
Cheyan Brasseur's single in the top of the first inning of the second game crossed a pair of Lady Vikings as the ECSU softball team fell in a pair of non-conference games to the University of Mount Olive.
UMO used an eight-run third inning and 17 hits for the second game to earn the 17-2 victory. In addition to Brasseur, sophomore
Sikia Korneagy and junior
Kennedi Williams added hits for the Lady Vikings.
In the first game, UMO crossed the plate five times in top half of the third to cruise to the 12-0 victory. The Lady Vikings picked up their only two hits of the game from junior
Isabel Mugaas and Brasseur.
The Lady Vikings return to the diamond Thursday, March 24, at the CIAA Round-Up in Raleigh. Their weekend gets underway with 10:00am game against Winston-Salem state.
