Brown, Korneagy and Mugaas Lead Offensive Charge for Softball

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – Sophomore's Zeta Brown and Sikia Korneagy, and junior Isabel Mugaas belted three hits apiece in softball's double header Monday afternoon at North Carolina Wesleyan. The Bishops posted a pair of wins on the afternoon topping the Vikings 3-0 in game 1 and 7-2 in the second.

In game one, the Lady Vikings were led in the circle by senior Casie Wright as she pitched six innings giving up five runs and 1 earned run. She fanned four NCWC batters.

Offensively, Brown led the way with two hits while Mugaas added one. The Vikings stranded three baserunners.

In the second game, Korneagy led the way for ECSU by belting three hits and scoring once. Mugaas added two hits while five others reached base successfully once as the Vikings tallied 10 hits.

Starting the game and going 3.1 innings was Wright. Freshman Kerrigan Belangia came on in relief going 2.2 innings.
