MOUNTOLIVE, N.C. -The ECSU softball team faced off against Alderson Broaddus on Saturday in their second double-header of the season falling to the Battlers 0-2.

Game 2: ECSU 1, Alderson Broaddus 22

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game 1:
 

• The Battlers jumped out with a 2-0 lead scoring first in the first inning.Peyton Barr hit a single RBI that advanced Mikala Swearingen to score.  
• The Vikings got off to a slow start and scored their only score of the game in the fourth inning.
• Stevensa hit a single at the bottom of the fourth. Saunders walked; Stevensa advanced to second. Mugaas also hit a double, RBI; Saunders advanced to third and Stevensa scored, at the bottom of the fourth.
• Alderson Broaddus accomplished five runs and six hits at the top of the fifth. 
• At the bottom of the fifth the Vikings only had one hit.

Game2 

• The Battlers achieved six runs and a pair of hits in the top of first and four RBI's.
• Mugaas hit a double for the Vikings advancing Komives to third at the bottom of the first. 
• Handy pitch work from the Vikings led to several of the Battlers striking out at the top of the second.
• In the top of the third the Battlers had four runs and four players score. 
• The Vikings grounded out, with advancements to second and third in the bottom of the third.
• At the top of the fourth the Battlers had 11 runs and 7 hits. 
• In the bottom of the fourth Komives reached first on an error by 2b; Stevensa advanced to third; allowing Saunders to score as the Vikings trailed Alderson Broaddus 21-1.
