ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Lady Vikings could not overcome their first half struggles leading to a 76-40 loss at Bowie State on Wednesday night.

The Vikings drop to 8-15 overall on the season, 4-7 in the CIAA.Â

Sophomore guard Asia Deal (Norfolk, VA) and sophomore forward Sireann Pitts (Raleigh, NC) led the vikings in scoring each ending the night with 11 points.Â
Stell continues to lead the Vikings and the conference in rebounding recording 11 rebounds total at Bowie.
Kyaja Williams led the Bulldogs in scoring with 22 points.Â

ECSU shot 25 percent from the field, 10 percent from behind the arc, and 84.6 percent at the line.Â

BSU shot 50.8Â percent from the field, 28.6Â percent from behind the arc, and 61.5Â percent at the line.Â
The bulldogs were able to score 27 points off of ECSU turnovers and after taking a large first half lead the Vikings had their work cut out for them.
ECSUÂ continued to battle back outscoring the bulldogs 18-10 in the final stanza, but it was not enough to overcome the large first half deficit.Â

The Vikings will be back in action Saturday afternoon in Richmond, VA to take on the Panthers of Virginia Union University at 2 pm.Â
