ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Vikings suffered a 56-51 loss on the road at Winston-Salem State University Monday night.

The Vikings drop to 10-7 overall on the season, 3-4 in the CIAA

Junior guard Zaccheus Hobbs (Maysville, NC) led the charge for the Vikings offensively with 18 points. Junior guard Justin Faison (Waldorf, Md) followed up with 16 points.
 
Senior foward Joseph Allen (Miami Gardens, FL) rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points and pioneered the Vikings defense with 10 rebounds recording his eight double-double of the season.
 
Robert Colon led the Rams in scoring  with 22 points.
 
ECSU shot 43.8 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from behind the arc, and 70.8 percent at the line.
 
WSSU shot 44.7 percent from the field, 42.1 percent from behind the arc, and 56 percent at the line. 

Key three-pointers in the opening quarter of action from Pitts and sophomore guard Azhante Rodgers (Portsmouth, VA) gave the Vikings their largest lead of the game up 20-13 heading into the second quarter.

The Vikings will be on the road in Lincoln, PA to take on the Lions of Lincoln University on Monday, January 20th. Tip off is slated for 7:30pm.
