Box Score BANNER ELK, N.C. -- The Elizabeth City State women's volleyball team started their two game road swing with a straight set loss at Lees-McRae College on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
Both teams battled to a 4-4 tie before the Bobcats went on a 8-1 run to lead 12-5. The Vikings were able to battle back to within five, 22-17, following a kill from
Kaylee Williams but the Bobcats would pull away for the 25-17 win.
Second Set
The Vikings controlled much of the second set, holding a lead until the Bobcats came back to tie the set at 19. Lees-McRae outscored the Vikings 6-3 after the 19-all tie to take set number two by a 25-22 margin.Â
Third Set
ECSU again controlled the first part of the set as the Vikings led 5-0 following a Ma-Tewah Tamba kill. The Vikings continued to lead by five, 11-6, before the Bobcats went on a 7-0 run to lead 13-11. ECSU would tie it at 15-all following an LMC attack error but the Bobcats controlled from that point, outscoring the Vikings 10-3 to take the final set, 25-18.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
After hitting for a over .300 percentage against Regent on Thursday, the Vikings struggled hitting against LMC as ECSU mustered a .000 hitting percentage for the contest.
Individually, ECSU was led by
Jahera Dangerfield and Ma-Tewah Tamba who both notched four kills a piece. Freshman
Chayse Tyler registered three service aces for the Vikings on the evening.

ECSU will take the short trip across the Appalachian Mountains to face off against King University on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
