HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1
Barton jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one following a Jessica Onega RBI single to left field that scored two and an ECSU throwing error that Barton was able to capitalize to score two additional runs. The Bulldogs plated ten runs in the top of the second following five RBI hits by four different Bulldogs. Barton finished their first game scoring off of a Rogers single to left field that scored Knapp from third. ECSU was able to get on the board following a Stephanie Komives RBI double to left and a Shea Vaccaro bunt that scored Komives from third in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Game 2
Different game yet the same story for the ECSU effort as the Vikings would give up five runs in the first inning. ECSU was able to counter with a run of their own in the bottom half of the first as Alyssa Griffin laced a double into left center to score Stephanie Komives from second. Barton did not let up as the Bulldog offense continued to carve up ECSU for five runs in the second, eight in the third and three in the fifth, to bring the final margin to 21-1.
