ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – After a rough start to the season, the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team is set to compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Round-up in Petersburg, Va. hosted by Virginia State University Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9.

Going into this weekend's tourney, the Vikings (0-6) has thus far posted 111 kills, 189 digs, and 100 assists; while averaging .09 blocks per game. Â The ladies are averaging 5.8 kills per set, 5.3 assists per set, and 9.9 digs per set.

Jahera Dangerfield paces Elizabeth City State with 1.74 kills per set; while freshman
Kaylee Williams adds 1.42 kills per set of her own. Freshman
Asia Jones leads the Vikings in assists with 3.05 per set; while sophomore
Elizabeth Cagle tallies .50 blocks per set. Dangerfield also leads the team in digs per set with 1.84.   Â
