ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – After a rough start to the season, the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team is set to compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Round-up in Petersburg, Va. hosted by Virginia State University Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9.
 
Fans can follow the game live via live stats here http://govsutrojans.com/sidearmstats/vball/summary . ECSU is tagged to face Claflin University at 1 p.m. and Shaw at 4 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, Elizabeth City State is prepared to face St. Augustine's University at 1 p.m. and Fayetteville State University at 4 p.m.  
 
Going into this weekend's tourney, the Vikings (0-6) has thus far posted 111 kills, 189 digs, and 100 assists; while averaging .09 blocks per game.  The ladies are averaging 5.8 kills per set, 5.3 assists per set, and 9.9 digs per set.
 
Sophomore captain Jahera Dangerfield paces Elizabeth City State with 1.74 kills per set; while freshman Kaylee Williams adds 1.42 kills per set of her own. Freshman Asia Jones leads the Vikings in assists with 3.05 per set; while sophomore Elizabeth Cagle tallies .50 blocks per set.  Dangerfield also leads the team in digs per set with 1.84.
