WILSON, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State University men's basketball team dropped a tough contest on the road to the 20^th ranked Barton College Bulldogs, 88-64, on Tuesday night.

ECSU (2-3) never led in the contest but kept the contest close throughout the first half before Barton pulled away behind a 9-0 run in the first minutes of the second half and continued with a strong second half shooting effort. The Bulldogs shot 58.1 percent from the field while the Vikings were limited to just 40.3 percent shooting in the second half of play.

ECSU had ten of its players' register points on the evening while sophomore guard Justin Faison paced the Viking attack with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field.

Barton (6-0) had a balanced scoring attack yet again as the Bulldogs had six players to score in double digits on the evening. Bobby Stenborg led the way as the junior forward scored 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field and also registered seven assists.

The Vikings will take off five days for the Thanksgiving holiday before heading to Aiken, S.C. on Sunday, November 25^th to face off against the USC Aiken Pacers. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
