PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Viking Volleyball team dropped matches to host UNC Pembroke and the University of Mount Olive in straight sets on Tuesday night inside of the Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.

Errors were the undoing for the volleyball squad as they committed 28 errors while UNCP committed just 15 throughout the match. Freshman Jahera Dangerfield was the leader for the Vikings as she led the team in kills with four and two aces. UNCP was led by Brianna Warren who paced the Braves with eight kills and tied for the lead in blocks with three throughout the contest.

With just a few minutes in between matches the Vikings turned around and faced off against the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive. The Vikings had another tough outcome, dropping the match to UMO in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-18. ECSU won the battle of service aces 3-1 over UMO and closed the gap in errors 30-25 as compared to match one.
