RALEIGH, NC- Rosetta Becerra matched her career high with 29 kills but it was not enough as Elizabeth City State University dropped a five set rally decision to Saint Augustine's University in non-conference volleyball action Thursday night.
Krystal Sawyer tallied a career best 49 assists while Kelsey Smith finished with 20 kills, 11 digs and 2 solo blocks.
The two teams traded sets with ECSU taking the first and third (25-20, 27-25) while the Lady Falcons won set two 26-24 and forced a fifth and deciding set with a 25-22 victory in the fourth. SAU wrapped up the match winning 15-11 in set five.
The Lady Vikings kill output (61) was their second best of the year (62 vs Lincoln) and they set a new season high in aces with 11. Emmesha White led all performers with a match high 6 service aces.
Olivia Porter led the way for Saint Augustine's (7-13) with a personal best 21 kills.
