HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University's Kelsey Smith has been named to the 2013 Preseason All-Conference volleyball team as released by the CIAA office Thursday afternoon.

Defending champion Fayetteville State led the team with three selections, including Joylene Thompson, JaMisha Jordan and Jessica Hardy who look to lead the Lady Broncos to their sixth overall title.

Smith, a junior middle blocker/hitter from Cascade, Virginia, will be the Lady Vikings' top all-around player this fall. Last season she led ECSU in both hitting percentage (.287) and total blocks (45 solo). In 2012, her block total ranked third best in the CIAA, and average of 1.01 per set.
