ECSU VOLLEYBALL UPENDED BY CHOWAN IN FOUR SETS

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Nikira Fults had 18 kills against only 3 hitting errors as the Chowan University Hawks topped Elizabeth City State University in four sets (23-25, 25-15, 25-10, 25-13) at the RL Vaughan Center.

Suraya Chase and Jordan Miller added 13 and 11 kills respectively as the Hawks move to 4-0 overall on the year. Miller contributed 13 digs for the only double-double of the game.

As a team the Lady Vikings had a positive hitting percentage in the first set (9 kills, 4 errors) which they won 25-23. Chowan then cranked up their offense, totaling 44 kills over the three remaining set to just 7 for ECSU.

The Hawks also bested ECSU on defense with 62 digs, led by Cindy Ehrich's game high 18.

Rosetta Becerra led the Lady Vikings with a game high 9 kills while Emmesha White and Grace Barrett had 10 digs apiece.
