HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University's Rosetta Becerra has been named CIAA Volleyball Player of the Week as released from the conference office this morning.

In the Lady Vikings upset win over Chowan University last week in Murfreesboro, NC, Becerra led the way with an astounding 24 kills and 24 digs. That loss was the first CIAA setback of the year for the Hawks.

The Riverside, CA native leads the CIAA in kills per set and ranks second overall in kills. The Lady Vikings are riding a four game winning streak and are tied for first place in the CIAA Northern Division with a 6-1 mark.

ECSU (9-6, CIAA 9-4) will take on UNC-Pembroke tonight in Pembroke, NC. They will return to the RL Vaughan Center next Tuesday, October 22 for "Dig Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness at 6pm.
