Final Stats
FAYETTEVILLE, NC- Whitney Green finished with a match high 13 kills as the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings swept past Saint Augustine's University 25-23, 25-16, 25-22 Sunday morning at Capel Arena.
With the win ECSU moves to 9-6 overall in 2012 and are 8-2 against CIAA opponents. Versus CIAA Southern Division teams the Lady Vikings are 5-1, with their only setback coming at the hands of Fayetteville State University on Saturday.
Kyla Shute and Morghan Stallings each contributed 6 kills apiece and Stallings matched a personal season best with 6 services aces (8/31 vs. Goldey-Beacom). Both Kyla Shute and Danielle Kiser registered double digits in assists with 10 and 16, respectively.
Brittany Hicks led the Lady Falcons with a team high 11 kills in the loss as SAU slips to 4-13 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
ECSU will return on action on October 7th and 8th as they host back to back home games at the RL Vaughan Center versus Lincoln (Pa.)
