ELIZABETH CITY, NC-The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team held off a feisty Bowie State University squad in four sets (17-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-14) Monday night at the RL Vaughan Center.

Bowie State began the set on roll. They took the first set (25-17) by way of their attack game with an impressive 15 kills versus zero hitting errors.

Kelsey Smith also had a solid outing with 8 kills, 5 service aces, a solo block and three assisted blocks.

As a team the Lady Vikings held the edge in kills 49-30 over Bowie State who falls to 3-18 on the year.
