STALLINGS LEADS LADY VIKINGS IN FOUR SET WIN OVER LINCOLN

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Morghan Stallings finished with a game high 11 kills as Elizabeth City State University topped Lincoln University in four sets (25-15, 25-20, 17-25, 25-10) in volleyball action Sunday nigh at the RL Vaughan Center.

Stallings also added a team best 13 digs as ECSU moves to 10-6 on the year and 9-2 in CIAA play. The Lady Vikings sweep the season series with the Lady Lions, who fall to 1-13 overall.

Tori Lamont chipped in with 10 kills while Kyla Shute had a game high 5 service aces.

ECSU appeared to be cruising to a three set sweep on Sunday however the upstart Lady Lions had other plans. Facing a 0-2 deficit, Lincoln went on an 11-2 run to take command of set three, which they ultimately won 25-17.

In what turned out to be the final set, the Lady Vikings went on an 11-2 run of their own, holding the Lady Lions to a match low 10 points. As a team ECSU had 17 kills versus only 3 hitting errors while Lincoln never got their offense going again with 3 kills and 4 errors.

Jill Lee was LU's high player with 8 kills in the match.
