LADY VIKINGS FALL TO VIRGINIA STATE IN THREE SETS

PETERSBURG, VA- The Virginia State University Lady Trojans earned their first win since 2005 over Elizabeth City State University with a three set sweep (25-10, 25-21,25-20) Thursday night at Daniel Gymnasium.

The victory over the Lady Vikings was the first for Virginia State (10-8, CIAA 9-2) since the 2005 season.

The Lady Trojans were led by Whitley Bradley and Aubree Parker with 8 kills apiece. As a team Virginia State totaled 27 kills versus only 11 errors. Their service game was also solid with nine, four of which came courtesy of Jasmine Davis.

In contrast the Lady Vikings had only four aces and had almost as many errors (26) as kills (31).

Tori Lamont led all players with a match 10 kills.
