ELIZABETH CITY, NC- It took exactly one hour for the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings to sweep Bowie State University in CIAA Northern Division volleyball action (25-7, 25-14, 25-12) Saturday afternoon at the RL Vaughan Center.
The Lady Bulldogs, who slip to 5-14, 2-8 in the CIAA, had the same amount of kills and errors in the match (14). The Lady Vikings' service game was too much for BSU, totaling 21 for the game. Kyla Shute led the way with a season high 6 aces in the match. Shute finished with 7 kills while Lia Scott led all players with 9 kills.
The victory gives ECSU another important win in the CIAA Northern Division where their record now stands at 3-1.
