LADY VIKINGS DROP TWO AT FINAL DAY OF CATAWBA INVITATIONAL

SALISBURY, NC- The Elizabeth City State Lady Viking volleyball team fell to 1-2 on the young season, dropping three set decisions to both Shippensburg and Lenoir Rhyne Saturday afternoon at the Catawba College Invitational.

The Lady Vikings dropped their first match of the year to Shippensburg University 25-19, 25-16, 25-22. Jill Edwards led the way for the Raiders, who captured their first win of 2010, with a game high 12 kills. Lia Scott paced ECSU with a team high 6 kills.

Cheyenne Cash put down 8 kills as Lenoir Rhyne swept ECSU 25-20, 25-18, 25-18. Scott once again led ECSU with a team high 8 kills.
