LADY VIKINGS ROLL PAST BARTON IN THREE SETS

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- For the second straight match the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team faced Lady Bulldogs, this time from Barton College.

And like the moniker of their opponent, the end result was the same as the Lady Vikings swept their competition 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-21) Monday evening at the RL Vaughan Center.

With dominating team defense at the net, ECSU shut down the Lady Bulldogs' attack with a total of 17 assisted blocks (9.5 team total). As a result Barton (7-8) was held to a negative hitting percentage with 26 kills versus 32 errors (-0.56) for the match.

Lia Scott led the way for ECSU with a match high 11 kills. The Lady Vikings' win streak now stands at 11 games.
