FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team completed a sweep of the CIAA Southern Division with wins over Livingstone College, Fayetteville State University and Johnson C. Smith University at the second half of the CIAA Volleyball Roundup held September 18-19.

On Saturday the Lady Vikings swept Livingstone in three sets 25-13, 25-7, 25-11. On Sunday they topped both Fayetteville State (25-14, 23-25 25-15, 25-23) and Johnson C. Smith (23-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-6) in four sets. In the match against JCSU, freshman Whitney Green totaled a season high 14 kills.

ECSU has now won 8 consecutive matches and is one of two CIAA teams (Chowan University) that are undefeated in conference play. The Lady Vikings will host the Chowan Hawks for first place in the CIAA North in their home opener tomorrow at 2:30pm in the RL Vaughan Center. Admission is free.
