HAMPTON, VA- Four members of the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team have been named to the 2010 Preseason All-CIAA Team as selected by the CIAA Volleyball Coaches Association.

Seniors Stacie West-Bruner, Cassie Noe and Xie'Ara Maybank-Smallings automatically land on the preseason team as they were All-CIAA First Team performers last season. Lia Scott, a junior outside hitter who hails from Atlanta, GA, garners her first preseason honor after leading the Lady Vikings to the semifinals of last year's CIAA Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Vikings, under the guidance of two-time CIAA Coach of the Year Linda Bell, have won three straight division titles and captured the school's first ever volleyball crown in 2008.

ECSU will open up on the road September 3-4 at a tournament hosted by Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. They will hold their first home game of the season on September 17th vs. Lincoln (Pa.) University. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com .
