Final Stats

HAMPTON, VA- Saint Augustine's College defeated the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings 25-18, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16 Saturday evening at the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

The loss ends the Lady Vikings 2010 title hopes and their season at 22-7 overall. ECSU entered the CIAA Tournament as the top overall seed, but suffered a 3-0 setback to Fayetteville State in the quarterfinals, giving them a #2 seed out of Pool A on Friday.

Like FSU the day before them, Saint Augustine's became the second CIAA team to defeat the Lady Vikings the entire year, as ECSU held an undefeated conference record entering tournament play.

Whitney Green, the 2010 CIAA Rookie of the Year, led ECSU with 10 kills while All-CIAA performer Cassie Noe, playing in her final collegiate game, finished with 30 digs.

Saint Augustine's will face defending CIAA Champion Chowan University tomorrow at 1:00pm for the 2010 title.
