ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings topped Virginia State University in three sets 25-14, 25-10, 25-18 Saturday morning at the RL Vaughan Center.
The victory gives the Lady Vikings their 15th win in the last 16 contests as they remain unbeaten at a perfect 13-0 in the CIAA.
The Lady Vikings more than doubled the Lady Trojans in kills (44-21) and digs (46-24). Freshman Whitney Green once again led the way for ECSU with a game high 13 kills and 8 digs while Lia Scott chipped in with 10 kills. Virginia State, who was paced by 9 kills from Nikkisha Walker, slips to 8-11 overall; 8-6 in conference play.
