Final Stats

RALEIGH, NC- The Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings held off an a feisty charge by Peace College to win in four games (25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 25-22) Friday night at Hermann Student Center.

After splitting the first two games, the Lady Viking rallied from behind to take game three 25-21. Game four was a see-saw affair that saw 14 ties over a game that either team needed 25 points to win. With the score knotted at 20 apiece the Lady Vikings reeled off four straight points and after two scores by the Pacers, Eva Johnson sealed the match (set up by Regan Simpson) with her 15th kill. Johnson added 14 digs while teammate Lia Scott added 15 kills of her own along with 13 digs. Cassie Noe, the Lady Vikings libero, led all defenders with a game high 32 digs.

Megan Melchiorre led the Pacers (5-9 overall) with a match high 19 digs.
