LADY VIKINGS DEFEAT ST. AUGUSTINE'S IN ROUNDUP OPENER

HAMPTON, VA-The Elizabeth City State Lady Viking volleyball team began the 2009 CIAA Volleyball Roundup with a three-game sweep of Saint Augustine's College (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) Friday afternoon at the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

Stacie West led the Lady Vikings hitting 61% from the floor with 8 kills versus no hitting errors on 13 attacks. As a team ECSU hit 42% overall with only 4 miscues in the match. Shakira Carter paced the Lady Falcons who fall to 1-9 overall.
