Final Stats

HAMPTON, VA- Eva Johnson had a season and game high 17 kills as Elizabeth City State defeated Fayetteville State University (25-20, 25-21, 12-25, 25-23) Saturday morning a the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

Johnson, a two-time All-CIAA performer added 17 digs on the match while Xie'Ara Maybank-Smallings added 11 kills, 2 solo blocks and 2 assisted blocks. Since they lost to Fayetteville State in the 2007 CIAA semifinals, the Lady Vikings have posted a 21-0 record against CIAA opponents, including 16 straight conference games.

Two-time CIAA Player of the year Chekimbrel Jefferson led the Lady Broncos attack with 12 kills as Fayetteville State slips to 1-6 on the year.

ECSU will return to action when they square off against Shaw University Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm.
