HAMPTON, VA- Three members of the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team have received CIAA weekly honors as announced by the Conference Office Tuesday afternoon.
Freshman Chelsea Amick has been named Rookie of the Week after a career performance against divisional foe Bowie State University. In that three set sweep she totaled 17 kills and 11 digs. All-CIAA performer Eva Johnson has been named CIAA Player of the Week for the second time in her career after helping the Lady Vikings to a perfect record against CIAA opponents this season. Last week against Peace College she tallied 17 kills and 21 digs in ECSU's first five set match of the season.
Fifth year head coach Linda Bell rounds out this week's honorees as the CIAA Coach of the Week. ECSU sits in first place in the CIAA Eastern Division, toppled the defending CIAA Champions (Fayetteville State) and are riding a nine match win streak.
