Final Stats

PETERSBURG, VA- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team wrapped up a perfect regular season against CIAA opponents with a three set sweep of Virginia State University (25-15, 25-20, 27-25) Saturday afternoon at Daniel Gymnasium.

Once gain it was freshman Chelsea Amick leading the way for ECSU with a match high 14 kills and 8 digs. Eva Johnson contributed 9 kills and 10 digs while libero Cassie Noe also had 10 digs in the victory. Jennifer Hendy added 7 kills versus no hitting errors while setters Ashley Tarasoff and Jasmin Knox both had 15 assists apiece.

The Lady Vikings will now ready for the 2008 CIAA Volleyball tournament which begins next Friday in Hampton, VA at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. ECSU will enter the tournament as the top seed and the two-time defending CIAA Eastern Division Champs. Their perfect record against CIAA opponents is the first in school history.
