Final Stats
WILSON, NC- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team notched its first win of the season with a sweep of Barton College (30-21, 30-28, 30-28) Wednesday night at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Lady Vikings (1-3) were paced by a solid all-around performance by Pre-Season All-CIAA selection Eva Johnson. The Havelock, NC native led the way with 12 kills, 4 service aces and 10 digs while sophomore TreCola Leary contributed 8 kills and a game high 12 digs. Freshman Stacie West chipped in with 9 kills and Ashley Tarasoff contributed 19 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs (0-2) dropped their second game in as many nights on their home floor. The win marks a solid outing for ECSU as they were swept in the last year's season series with Barton.
Michelle Walker and Brittany Hunsucker totaled 12 and 10 kills respectively in the loss.
