ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings swept Saint Paul's College (30-13, 30-18, 30-19) Wednesday night at the RL Vaughan Center.
ECSU is now one win away from capturing the CIAA Eastern Division crown. With a win over Virginia Union University in November 1st in Elizabeth City, the Lady Vikings will have swept through the Division, literally as they haven't lost a game within any matches against Eastern teams this season.
Stacie West led the way for ECSU with a season high 13 kills while Eva Johnson and Xie'Ara Maybank-Smallings each contributed 10 kills each. Freshman setter Jasmin Knox set a new career high with 47 assists as ECSU improved to 16-8 overall and 11-1 in the CIAA. Whitney Lang paced the Lady Tigers who fall to 5-14 overall and 2-10 in conference play.
