HAMPTON, VA- Ashley Tarasoff, a freshman setter on the Elizabeth City State University Lady Viking volleyball team, has been named CIAA Rookie of the Week.

Tarasoff, a native of Castlegar, British Columbia, helped lead the Lady Vikings to undefeated record (3-0) last week. Her best performance came in the Lady Vikings' win over division rival Shaw University where she amassed 34 assists, 5 service aces and 4 digs. Additionally, the Lady Vikings swept Peace and Salem College at a tri-match in Raleigh, NC to improve to 3-4 overall.
