Final Stats
ELIZABETH CITY, NC- After dropping game one 30-24 to Virginia State University the Elizabeth City State University swept the final three games (30-22, 30-20,30-25) to defeat the Lady Trojans Thursday night at the RL Vaughan Center.
With the win the Lady Vikings improve to 10-8 overall and 7-3 in the CIAA. Freshman setter Ashley Tarasoff topped 30 assists for the third time this season while adding a season high 6 services aces. Tanika Hudgins stayed true to form finishing with game highs in both kills (23) and digs (18). As a team ECSU doubled the Lady Trojans in service aces 12 to 6 and were plus 10 in digs 74-64.Reneishia Hill paced the Lady Trojans with 15 kills as Virginia State falls to 4-9 overall, 2-6 in the CIAA.
The Lady Vikings will face a tough schedule during the month of October as 7 of their 9 remaining games are on the road. They will return to action on October 5th as they travel to take on Bowie State University.
