Final Stats

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team defeated Chowan College in three straight games (30-23, 30-19, 30-19) Wednesday night at the RL Vaughan Center.

With the victory ECSU picks up their 9th win of the season to improve to 9-8 overall while the Lady Hawks fall to 1-8.Tanika Hudgins led all scorers with a game high 19 kills. She was followed by reigning CIAA Rookie of the Week Eva Johnson who finished with 11 kills. Freshman setter Ashley Tarasoff contributed 27 assists and 4 service aces while Jessica Verde collected a team high 13 digs. The two teams were evenly matched with the exception of kills and assists, both of which favored the Lady Vikings. ECSU more than doubled the Lady Hawks in kills (52-22) and subsequently assists (47-17). The Lady Vikings also held the edge in service aces 10 to 4.
