HAMPTON, VA- Eva Johnson, a freshman on the Elizabeth City State University volleyball team, has been named CIAA Rookie of the Week.

Johnson, a native of Havelock, NC, nabs the conference's top rookie honor for the second consecutive week. At the annual CIAA Volleyball round-up in Durham, NC this past weekend, Johnson was instrumental in the Lady Vikings going 3-2 overall against the teams from Western Division. In their victory over Fayetteville State on September 15th, Johnson totaled 19 kills, a service ace and 33 digs. Over five matches last week, she accumulated 50 kills, 81 digs, 3 assisted blocks and a solo block.
