ECSU VOLLEYBALL COACH, PLAYER HONORED BY CIAA

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Elizabeth City State University head volleyball coach Linda Bell and freshman outside hitter Eva Johnson have both been honored by the CIAA.

Linda Bell, who is in her third season as the head coach for the Lady Vikings, has been named CIAA Coach of the Week. Prior to their loss to Barton College on Monday night, the Lady Vikings had reeled off five straight wins. Currently they are in first place in the CIAA Eastern Division and are an undefeated 3-0 in conference play.

Eva Johnson, a native of Havelock, NC has been tapped as the CIAA Rookie of the Week. In the Lady Vikings comeback win over Bowie State University, she amassed 17 kills, 19 digs and a solo block. A biology major at ECSU, Johnson is a 2006 graduate of Havelock High School.
