HAMPTON, VA- Freshman hitter Eva Johnson and head volleyball coach Linda Bell have top the weekly CIAA honors again as released from the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Eva Johnson, biology major who hails from Havelock, NC, has been named CIAA Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. In the Lady Vikings' victory over Virginia State on October 9th, Johnson amassed 16 kills, 12 digs and 2 solo blocks. Coach Linda Bell gets her second nod as CIAA Coach of the Week after completing the season sweep of Virginia State and guiding the Lady Vikings to a 5-1 record in the CIAA Eastern Division, good for second place behind Virginia Union University. ECSU (12-9 overall) will travel to take on the Lady Panthers Thursday evening in Richmond, VA. Game time is slated for 6:00pm at Barco-Stevens Hall.
