FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Volleyball team went 2-4 this past weekend at the 2004 Volleyball Round-up held in Fayetteville, NC.

On Friday, the Lady Vikings lost their opener to the host Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in 3 games. On the second day, ECSU went 1-2 defeating Johnson C. Smith University and falling to both Winston-Salem State and North Carolina Central. On the final day of competition, the Lady Vikings topped Livingstone College before losing to the 4-time defending champion Lady Falcons of St. Augustine's College.

The annual round-up features cross-divisional play between the CIAA Eastern and Western Divisions. The games are critical to the final standings, as only the top four teams in each division will advance to the 2004 CIAA Volleyball Championship.

The Lady Vikings will return to action On Tuesday, September 28th, as they travel to Petersburg, VA to face Virginia State University. Game time is slated for 6:30pm in Daniel Gymnasium.
