ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Virginia Union University swept Elizabeth City state University three games to none 30-14,32-30 and 30-25 Tuesday night at the RL Vaughan Center.

After game one was dominated by Virginia Union, the Lady Viking fought valiantly in game two which went beyond the wire with the visitors edging the home team 32-30. VUU (15-10) would ride that same momentum to take game three to remain undefeated in the CIAA Eastern Division. Gabriela Mokra paced the Lady Panthers with 12 kills while Lisa Harris and Tanika Hudgins contributed 7 kills apiece for ECSU. The Lady Vikings fall to 10-11 overall and are currently in second place in the CIAA East.

ECSU will wrap up the regular season this coming Friday, October 28, 2005 as they will play host to Chowan College for "Senior Night". Game time is slated for 6:00pm at the RL Vaughan Center. For more information on ECSU athletics, log onto www.ecsuvikings.com.
